Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Kid / Mio mobile application and related services (“Service”) operated by Individual Entrepreneur Endreev Konstantin Andreevich (ИП Эндреев Константин Андреевич) (“we”, “us”). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility
- Parent accounts may only be created by individuals who are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).
- The Service is designed for families. Parents are responsible for creating and supervising child accounts.
- Children use the Service under a parent-managed account and family login credentials.
2. Parent responsibility
By registering, you represent that:
- You are the parent or legal guardian (or have authority) for any child account you add to your family.
- You accept our Privacy Policy and Children & Family Privacy Notice on behalf of yourself and children in your family.
- You will supervise your child’s use of the Service and family rules you configure.
- Information you provide is accurate.
3. Accounts and security
- Keep your email and password confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account.
- Child login uses a family code, username, and PIN — share these only with authorized family members.
- Notify us at support@mio.baby if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or abusive purposes.
- Upload content that violates others’ rights or contains illegal material.
- Attempt to bypass security, scrape, or reverse engineer the Service.
- Impersonate others or create child accounts without parental authority.
Task photos and family content must comply with applicable laws and respect privacy of third parties shown in images.
5. Family features
The Service includes tasks, rewards, coins, goals, achievements, MIO pet/discoveries, and family rules. Features may change. We strive to maintain availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
6. Subscriptions
Paid MIO Plus features may be purchased on our website under separate Subscription Terms. The iOS app may unlock MIO Plus features for accounts with an active plan linked to the same login. The app does not process in-app purchases for digital subscriptions unless explicitly stated.
7. Account deletion
You may delete your parent account in the app (Family → Delete account). Deletion is permanent and removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. If you are the only parent with children in the family, deletion removes the entire family and all child accounts. If a second parent exists, you leave the family and children remain with the other parent.
Parents may delete individual child accounts from the child profile screen.
8. Intellectual property
We own the Service, branding, and content we provide. You retain rights to content you upload. You grant us a license to host and display uploaded content solely to operate the Service for your family.
9. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We do not provide medical, psychological, or legal advice. Family rules and rewards are tools for parents — you remain responsible for parenting decisions.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or EUR 50 if you use the free tier.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service by deleting your account.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be communicated via the app or email.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Russian Federation. Disputes shall be resolved in courts at the operator’s place of registration, unless mandatory consumer protection rules in your country require otherwise.
