MIO Children & Family Privacy Notice

For parents and legal guardians · Effective date: 10 July 2026

This Children & Family Privacy Notice (the “Notice”) explains how TYK MYK STUDIO LLC (the “Operator”, “we”) processes children’s personal data when using the MIO family Application and related services.

The Notice is addressed to parents and other legal guardians of a child who create a child profile and manage the Child’s use of the Application.

This Notice supplements the MIO Privacy Policy and applies together with it. The Notice does not replace a separate consent to the processing of a child’s personal data where such consent is required by law or by the Application interface; such consent is given by a separate action of the parent or other legal guardian.

Before creating a child profile, please carefully review this Notice, the Privacy Policy, and the MIO License Agreement.

1. Who can create a child profile

Children cannot register in the Application on their own using email, a phone number, or any other independent registration method.

A Child’s profile is created only by a parent or other legal guardian of the child through the Parent Account. The parent sets or confirms the Child’s profile data and the family login credentials for the child, and manages the settings for the child’s use of the Service.

By creating a Child’s profile, the parent confirms that they:

If a person is not the parent or other legal guardian of the child and does not have the necessary authority, they must not create a child profile or upload the child’s data to the Application.

2. What data we collect about children

We do NOT require the child’s email or phone number.

3. What parents see

Parents in the same family can view and manage:

A Second Parent who joins via a family code has the same visibility as the first parent, unless you remove them from the family (managing accounts between parents is described in the app).

4. User Content

In certain features of the Application, the Child or Parent may upload photos, videos, voice messages, or other materials. For example, a child may attach a photo as confirmation of completing a task.

Such materials are processed as User Content and are visible to parents and family members within the Application settings. They are not used by the Operator to establish the child’s identity or for biometric identification.

The parent must take into account the child’s interests and the rights of third parties when assigning tasks and uploading materials. You should not assign tasks or upload materials that may lead to the disclosure of private information about the child, other children, family members, or third parties, or to the posting of inappropriate, unlawful, or sensitive images.

5. No advertising, no sale of children’s data

6. Child geolocation

The child geolocation feature is used only if it is available in the Application, enabled by the parent, and allowed in the child’s device settings.

When the geolocation feature is used, the Child’s GPS coordinates, location fix time, location accuracy, location history, geofences, and geofence entry or exit events may be processed.

The parent can disable the geolocation feature in the Application settings and/or on the child’s device. Disabling geolocation may limit the operation of location-related features.

GPS track points are stored for the period specified in the MIO Privacy Policy. The last location snapshot may be stored until the geolocation feature is disabled or the account is deleted, unless a different period is established by law or the Application settings.

7. Push notifications for children

If push notifications are allowed on the child’s device, the Application may send service notifications, including reminders and achievement alerts. Notification permission is requested and managed by the Device’s operating system. You can disable notifications in the Device settings, for example: Settings → Notifications → MIO, as well as in the Application settings, if such an option is available.

8. Deleting a child’s data

Parents can permanently delete a Child’s profile in the Application:

  1. Open the Child’s profile in the parent app
  2. Scroll to “Danger zone” / “Delete child”
  3. Confirm deletion

This deletes the Child’s profile, tasks, coins, MIO data, and uploaded photos from our systems (subject to short-term backup retention described in the Privacy Policy).

Deleting your Parent profile may also delete the entire family and all children if you are the only parent — see the License Agreement.

9. Consent of the parent or other legal guardian

By creating a Child’s profile in the Application, the User confirms that they are the Parent or legal guardian of the Child with lawful grounds to organize the Child’s use of the Application, to create and configure the Child’s profile, and to provide the consents necessary for processing the Child’s information to the extent and for the purposes described in this Notice and the Privacy Policy.

The Child does not undergo independent registration using an email address or phone number. The Child’s access to the child interface of the Application is carried out using a family code, username, and PIN provided by the Parent.

Connecting the Child’s profile to the Family space is carried out using a family code (invite code). Entering such data on the Child’s Device confirms the Child’s connection to the relevant Family space and the Parent’s consent to the processing of the Child’s information within the Application in accordance with this Notice and the Privacy Policy.
